Thomas John Clifford, 15, of Eldora, Iowa passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 in Eldora, Iowa.

With a heavy heart and a decision no parent should have to make, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services held at this time.  Thomas will forever be with his family now.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Thomas’s name to his family.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.abelsfuneralhomes.com.

Thomas John Clifford was born on May 30, 2005 in St. George, Utah, the son of John and Lisa (Culver) Clifford.  He was also a wonderful brother to Cassandra Mae Wood and Zakkri Paul Clifford.  The Clifford family moved around, but in 2017 they moved here to Eldora.  Thomas attended both middle school and high school here in Eldora.

Thomas was always in a hurry from the very beginning of his life; hurry to be born, hurry to talk and a hurry to walk.  He had such a love for exploring that started at such a young age.  Thomas always loved seeing new places.  He loved to write stories and even shared several of them online.  Thomas loved to laugh and be silly and would try to help others smile if they were having a bad day.  His heart was truly genuine and full of love.  Thomas was so loved by his family and our hearts will forever be broken.

“It has been said, time heals all wounds.  I do not agree.  The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.”
