Rosemarie McNamer

November 26, 1925 — July 2, 2021

Rosemarie McNamer, 95, of Eldora, Iowa passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, July 2, 2021 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loved ones.

Following Rosemarie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services held at this time.  Memorial contributions may be directed in her name to her family who will be designated them to hospice. Rosemarie Harris was born on November 26, 1925 in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Ilo and Kathryn (Pearce) Harris.  She was raised and educated in the Webster City School district where she graduated with the class of 1942.  On March 6, 1945, Rosemarie was united in marriage to Eldon LeRoy McNamer in Portland, Oregon.  From this union six children were born: Cheryl, Ernie, Janna, Debi, Cyndee and Vickie who passed away in infancy.

Rosemarie was a very hardworking woman dedicating her working years at Montgomery Wards in Webster City, Iowa as well as the Coke Cola plant in Webster City and she also delivered the Messenger and Freeman Journal for many years.  Rosemarie loved her stuffed animals, owls, doing word search’s, crossword puzzles and fill-ins, going dancing with her daughters, her dogs, and enjoyed making people laugh.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Cheryl (Curt) Lowiske, Ernie Lee, Janna McNamer; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ilo and Kathryn Harris; daughters: Vickie and Debi Sue Baker; siblings: Helen (George) Gage, Robert (Helen) Harris, Don Harris, Merle Harris, Dorothy Leonard and Charles Harris.
