Larry Dean Mulder, 75, of Reinbeck, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, following a lengthy illness. Larry was born on September 7, 1944, in Aplington, Iowa, to his parents Harm & Jennie (Kuper) Mulder. He grew up in Ackley, where he attended school. After high school, he married Doris Gamble and the couple welcomed son Tom and daughter Kay into their family. They later divorced. Larry was drafted into the United States Army, honorably serving his country from 1969 to 1970. On May 10, 1969, Larry married Judy Stanbrough in Iowa Falls. They were blessed with three children, Larry Jr., Amy & Paul. Larry worked at Farmland in Iowa Falls for many years and worked as a farmhand. He previously worked for the turkey hatchery in Dike and most recently in Waterloo, where he worked in school bus sales.

In his free time, Larry loved horses; he loved riding horses and training them. Larry also loved to take a drive through the beautiful Iowa agriculture. He was known for his storytelling and jokes; his family said he would make friends with just about anybody! What Larry loved most in life was his family; he was especially crazy about his grandkids and great-grandkids. Just as in life as in death, Larry was selfless, thinking of others and leaving behind a great legacy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife Judy of Reinbeck; children Tom Mulder of Hampton, IA, Kay Mulder of Hansel, IA, Larry (Nikki) Mulder Jr. of Flippin, AK, Amy Williams of Reinbeck and Paul Mulder of Waterloo; grandchildren Erica (Lance) Studer, Josh (Kayla) Mulder, Teaya Hayes, Aleena Minks, Breanna (Harvey Williams) Gillum and Michael Gillum Jr.; many great-grandchildren; sisters Josephine Chantrill of Ackley and Linda (Larry) Kreimeyer of Geneva; many nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Dakota. He rejoins in Heaven his parents and brother-in-law Clyde Chantrill.
