Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the hour of 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. is being reserved for those family and friends that are in our "most vulnerable, at risk age and health groups" general public visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 7:00 p.m. conducted by the Reinbeck Masonic Coin Lodge #394. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ. All are welcome and reasonable social distancing measures will be taken. Burial will follow at the Washington Township Cemetery in Morrison. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jaden was born on February 9, 1976 in Waterloo Iowa, to his loving parents Walt and Connie (Peters) Miller. While in high school he was very active in local theater productions, worked at church camp, and Boy Scout camp. He was in Boy Scouts all the way and earned Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow. Jaden mowed the Washington Township cemetery for many years. Jaden graduated Gladbrook Reinbeck High School in the class of 1994. He then went on to UNI majoring in electronic media. He became a Radio DJ for The Hog 98.5, known to his listeners as the famous “Big J!” and KCRR 97.7 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Jaden was united in marriage to Lanette McHone on August 6, 2005. They welcomed their son Quaid into their family on January 17, 2013 and made their home in Ankeny, Iowa. Jaden worked in annuities and the 401(k) department as a team lead representative at VOYA for 10 years, before he became disabled.

Jaden loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were swimming, watching sports, playing cards with family and friends, and drinking craft beer. He loved finding and supporting the next best local brewery.

Jaden was friends with everyone he met! A big teddy bear, who loved life! He had the most contagious laugh you ever heard! He adored his son, Quaid, more than anything on this earth. And he always loved giving him “Daddy’s Wisest Advice.”

Before Jaden became disabled, Jaden and Lanette loved road tripping, geo-catching, playing cards with their friends, swimming, and of course watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. They loved trips to the Mississippi River, to boat with his parents, and Quaid inherited all our roots, with his love for swimming. Jaden and Lanette were so proud that Quaid was swimming before he was even a year old. Jaden was an avid sports fan, who loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers, and the Minnesota Twins. Jaden had a knack for always knowing his sports. Music was his favorite pastime. He loved 80’s music, old classic country, and classic, acoustic, and alternative rock music.

Jaden is survived by his wife, Lanette Miller, and son Quaid, of Bondurant; mom and dad, Walt and Connie Miller of Reinbeck; sister and brother in law, Ferron and Steve Anderson, of Beaman; niece Felicia (Max) Rasmussen, of Spirit Lake; nephews Sawyer Anderson and Shadner Anderson, of Beaman; mother and father-in-law, Roger and Diane McHone, of Bondurant; and sister-in-law and niece, Lori and Madeline Schieltz, of North Liberty; many aunts, uncles, & cousins and countless amazing friends.
