William "Bill" Dinsdale

William "Bill" Dinsdale, 80, of Reinbeck, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, surrounded by his family under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Oakleaf Country Club in Reinbeck. 

Bill was born on January 9, 1946, in Waterloo, Iowa, to parents, LeRoy and Louise (Knipe) Dinsdale. He graduated from Dinsdale Consolidated School in Dinsdale in 1963. He married Donna Staker on February 16, 1974. Bill was a farmer and then worked for Bituminous Materials and Supply until his retirement. 

Bill spent his time at the farm, attending Iowa games, and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his dog Kinnick. 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna; his children Connie (Lonnie) Wood, Sandy (Jerry) Widdel, and Mike (Denise) Harrison; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and his sister Judy Benz. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John Allen, Pat Dinsdale and Richard Dinsdale, and brother-in-law Don Benz.
