Trish was the eldest of six children, born on May 1, 1953, in New Hampton, Iowa, to her parents Warren and Faythe (Benner) Means. She was raised on the family farm in Fredericksburg, Iowa, and graduated from Fredericksburg High School in the class of 1971. She continued her education at North Iowa Area Community College and graduated from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Trish began working for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Medicare Auditor. She traveled to hospitals around the United States ensuring they were in compliance with Medicare. In 2000, she began working at MercyOne in Waterloo, Iowa, in the reimbursement accounting department. Trish was a people person, and this was an amazing fit for her. She loved her job, the people with whom she worked and all the people she was able to help. She retired from MercyOne in 2025. On November 5, 1994, Trish was united in marriage to Pat Neuroth, sharing a beautiful life together for the next thirty-one years.

Trish was a proud member of the Beacon Christian Church. She served the church on the worship committee and as a communion server. For over two decades, she was the trusted treasurer for the Ring Neck Chapter of Pheasants Forever. Her professional skills also extended to the Oakwood Golf Course, where she kept the books for over 15 years. Beyond her career, she was a dedicated member of the Beaman Legion Auxiliary, serving faithfully as its membership chairman for many years. Trish was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Trish and Pat cherished their time as a foreign exchange family for two wonderful young ladies. Lisa who is from Germany and Annick who is from Switzerland. Although they only stayed with them for a couple years while attending high school, they formed a bond that lasted a lifetime. Trish and Pat even began traveling overseas just to see the girls, now grown women and their children. It was an amazing experience for all. Trish also enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit her dad and loved her time with him at the beach. She found peace in the quiet beauty of nature. Every morning, Trish loved sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee, watching the birds and deer across her acreage. Her home was filled with love for her dogs and cats, but her greatest joy in life came from the time she spent with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Pat Neuroth; children Alecia (Justin) Pluess, Stacy (Craig) Gunderson, and Joe (Kalli) Neuroth; grandchildren Oakley and Ada Pluess, and Calvin and Lauren Gunderson; siblings Rhonda (Steve) Plamann, Sherri (Steve) Carolan, Jeff Means, and Carolyn (Carey) Rebstock; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Means.
