On Saturday, August 30, 2025, Patricia Hall passed away peacefully at the age of 83 at Ramsey Village Continuing Care in Des Moines, Iowa. Known for her kindness and compassion, Pat will be missed by all who knew her. Pat was a beloved wife to her husband, Keith, a devoted mother to her children, and a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was born on September 14, 1941, and grew up on a farm in Titonka, Iowa. She graduated from Titonka High School and the University of Northern Iowa where she earned both English and Library Sciences degrees.
Pat married her husband, Keith, in Titonka on December 22, 1963. They made their home in Grundy Center, Iowa in 1969. She was dedicated to her faith, family, and friends, and known for going above and beyond for them. She enjoyed having everyone gather for holidays at her home, working in her garden, reading, attending bible studies, and church.
Pat’s love of cooking and baking matched her job as a cook at the Grundy Center Schools, the community center, and the Grundy Hospital. Pat shared her baked goods with many people in the community through her donations to church bake sales as well as treats she took to others when she visited those who were ill or in a care facility.
Pat worked as a GED teacher at the Grundy Center Schools. She supported many people in getting their GED Certificates by helping them pass their General Education Development Tests.
Pat was a member of the Grundy Center United Methodist church for the many years that she lived in Grundy Center and made many friends in the community.
Pat is predeceased by her parents, Forrest and Hazel Willis, her husband Keith, her daughter, Stacey Stonebraker, and her brother, Wilbur Willis, and sisters, Florence Spear and Verna Dell St. Clair. She is survived by her daughters Wendy Hall and Cindy (Rick) Slinger, her son, Jeff Hall, her sister Kathy (Ralph) Carlson, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 10:00 a.m. at Grundy Center Cornerstone Methodist Church, and anyone with fond memories or stories should feel free to attend and share. Burial will follow the at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.
