Lynn W. Wrage, 73, a beloved figure known for his warmth, humor, and steadfast dedication, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at his residence. Cremation rights have been accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted by Abels Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Born on May 23, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Lester and (Marylou Kubik) Wrage Lynn's life journey was marked by both personal and professional accomplishments that left an enduring impact on all who had the privilege to know him.
A 1970 graduate of Hudson High School, Lynn embraced life with enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. Those close to him often recall his signature phrase, "ain't that right, huh?", a testament to his lively and engaging personality. He was, above all, a man deeply committed to family and friends, always ready with a smile and a kind word whenever someone entered his presence.
Lynn’s career was distinguished by his 45 years of service as a tool and die maker at Universal Industries. His work ethic and craftsmanship were exemplary, reflecting a lifelong passion for precision and excellence that earned him respect among his colleagues and peers.
Beyond the workshop, Lynn's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. He had a particular fondness for dogs, a fascination with anything related to Star Trek, which hinted at his curiosity and imaginative spirit. His pride and joy was his Robin Egg Blue 1970 1/2 Shelby Mustang, a car that perfectly complemented his love for classic automobiles. Traveling was another cherished pastime, especially trips to California accompanied by close friends Julie and John, which brought him great joy and memorable experiences.
Lynn Wrage will be remembered not only for his professional contributions and hobbies but for the genuine kindness and humor that defined his character. His presence brought light and laughter to those around him, and his memory will continue to inspire those who loved him.
He is mourned by all who knew him, his absence leaving a void felt deeply within his community. Lynn’s legacy is one of warmth, dedication, and cheerfulness, qualities that remain with us and serve as a meaningful tribute to a remarkable life well-lived.
Lynn is survived by one daughter; Linsey (Chris) Gregory, one brother; Kim (Cathy) Wrage and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester (Marylou) Wrage.
