Lisa Jean Curren, 44, of Holland, Iowa, died of natural causes, Monday, February 23, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Lisa was born December 12, 1964, the daughter of Paul and LeAnn (Venenga) Bettenga. She was born and raised in near Holland and graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1983. Lisa attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. On November 15, 1985, Lisa was united in marriage to Jeffrey Lee Curren at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, Iowa. Lisa worked for United Beverage in Waterloo as the business manager. She attended the Orchard Hill Church in Grundy Center and was the Vice President of the Iowa Morgan Horse Association. Lisa enjoyed painting, riding and cross stitch. She also enjoyed reading and spending time at the acreage.
She is survived by her husband Jeff; a son: Kyle Curren of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and a daughter: Jody Curren of Cedar Falls, Iowa; her mother: LeAnn Bettenga of Grundy Center; and a brother: Jay and his wife Alice Bettenga of Joplin, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father: Paul Bettenga, a brother: Craig Allen Bettenga and a sister: Beth Ann Bettenga.
