Lester Thomas Peters (64) passed away on June 12th, 2016. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 25th, at 1705 12th St (in the shop) in Eldora, Iowa, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. Lester Thomas Peters was born to Lester and Faye (Duncan) Peters on January 28th, 1952, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He attended the Eldora community school district graduating with the class of 1971. On October 20th, 1972, Lester and Denise Van Lengen were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Steamboat Rock, Iowa. Together the family made their home in Eldora to raise their children. He was an employee of Trojan Seed Co. as well as Quality Ag., until his failing health forced him into retirement. Lester loved telling whoppers to his children and grandchildren. He also loved fishing and driving around, listening to old country.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Denise Peters, sons; Chris Peters, Sean (Sara) Peters, Josh (Jessica) Peters, grandchildren; Kaylee, Layne (Samantha), Peyton, Jacob and Tucker Peters, brothers; Darell (Frances) Peters, Willy (Jane) Peters, , Danny (Sue) Peters, sisters; Faye (Don) Nederhoff, Marie (Mike) Bachman, Gladys (Colin) Keipper.
In death, Lester rejoins his parents; Lester and Faye Peters, brother; Duncan Lee Peters, sister; Verna Jo Peters.
