LaVerne E. Flater, age 81 passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born in Butler County, Iowa on November 27, 1942 to Edward and Greta (Van Deest) Flater. He always was smiling and happy. Laverne enjoyed long talks with family and friends. Besides working as a farm hand, he loved horses and dogs. Laverne will be missed.
