Keith loved life, evident in the simple joys he cherished. He particularly enjoyed riding his moped around the farm with his favorite cat perched on his shoulder, a companion that preferred only his company. He also loved driving skid steers, riding in the combine and truck during harvests, his John Deere snowmobile, and his beloved B Farmall tractor. He also enjoyed bowling, the Hawkeyes, the Cyclones & the UNI Panthers, or whatever team his sisters cheered for! He collected photos from everyone he met, Coca-Cola memorabilia and had over 1,000 hats in his collection. He also enjoyed making latchhook rugs.
Keith made many, many friends through his Exceptional Persons family. He cherished each one of them from his roommates to his many wonderful staff. He definitely made a lasting impression through his approachable demeanor and kind hearted spirit. He loved Jesus, Gospel music and old time country music, singing along with many of those songs.
Keith is survived by his loving family, including his sisters Sharon (Dean) Werkman and Lisa (Ryan) Bakker. He was so proud to be an uncle to Clayton (Libbey) Werkman, Collin (Kelsey) Werkman, Trevor Bakker, Haley Bakker and Morgan Bakker. He also had a special place in his heart for his great-nephews, Xander & Hudson and his great-niece, Lennox.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ruth (Riebkes) Janssen.
Keith will be remembered for his passion for life and for all the adventures he could possibly go on. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and his many friends as they cherish their beautiful memories of him.
