On April 14, 2024, the world lost a bright young soul as Keeley Eva Renee Baer passed away in Eldora, Iowa. Born on March 23, 2011, in Waterloo, Iowa, Keeley brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Keeley was a remarkable individual with aspirations of becoming a doctor. Her compassionate nature and desire to help others shone through in everything she did. Attending South Hardin Middle School in Hubbard, Iowa, Keeley not only excelled academically but also stood out for her kindness. She loved playing the Trombone in the school band and was recognized as the most helpful student by her teacher for two consecutive years.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Keeley had a zest for life that was infectious. She cherished spending summers under her favorite tree gazing up at the sky with her beloved sister Hayleigh. Keeley's love for nature extended to riding her horse Chief whenever she had the chance, regardless of the weather.
Described as a spunky spitfire with a lot of sass, Keeley's vibrant personality captured the hearts of everyone around her. Her contagious smile and playful silliness could light up any room. Known as everyone's best friend, Keeley had a unique ability to make people feel valued and seen.
Keeley leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: parents Vanessa and Anthony Baer, sisters Hayleigh, Maddie, and Raven; along with grandparents David and Rochelle Panthen, Jim and Linda Larsen, uncle Yurii Rice and Amber, uncle Billy Rice, uncle Kenny Taylor, Great Grandma Sharon Rowen, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded by her grandma Brenda Baer Taylor.
