Joseph Dale Greiner, son of Joe and Catharyn (Reis) Greiner was born at home on the family farm on September 30, 1940, in Tama County, Iowa. He was educated at Dinsdale Schools, graduating class of 1958. Following high school Dale joined the family farm operation. Dale married the love of his life, Bea (Adair) on October 8, 1960. Three children were born to this union - Kim, Rita, and Rodney. Dale and Bea have been blessed with 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Dale and his brother, Dennis, formed D & D Greiner Brothers in 1961 and farmed together for over 40 years. Dale retired from farming in 2002, and since retirement Dales’ son Rodney and grandsons Jordan and Tanner, continue to operate the family farm, which brought Dale great pride and joy. Dale not only farmed, but enjoyed carpentry work, fishing, hunting, and many other hobbies. He built his own family home at age 26, and built recreational ponds on their land so their family and friends could enjoy summer fun in Iowa. In retirement, he converted two motorcoaches into campers for a family trip to Alaska with his siblings. Bea and Dale enjoyed their summer home at Leech Lake, MN, throughout their married life and traveling south in the winter months with their motorhome. Fun-loving Dale was a perfect host and enjoyed entertaining and spending time with family and friends most of all.
