Eldora

Jean Marie McGeorge, 24 years old from Eldora, Iowa. Passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born to Rhonda Crimm and Dennis McGeorge June 9th, 2001, at the Ellsworth Hospital in Iowa Falls. She had a deep love for horses, books, and music. She was a very quiet child with her own flare of style and often lost in a book. She excelled highly in most things she did but really loved marching in band at Scott Central in Mississippi! But ended up coming back to Iowa to finish her senior year at Iowa Falls High School in the class of 2019. She then continued her education with Job Corps first in Minnesota for Culinary and then went back a year and a half later to Dennison, Iowa for Pharmacy Tech. Between Job Corps she was a clerk at the Iowa Falls Hy-Vee, she really enjoyed working there. She had just completed her coursework for Pharmacy Tech when she was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.

She then moved back home to Eldora with her mother Rhonda and Stepdad, Gary Crimm. We spent 2 1/2 years traveling back and forth to Iowa City and sometimes having to stay in Iowa City for weeks at a time during her treatment. Unfortunately, all of the treatments just slowed the growth but never killed the actual tumor.

Jean was preceded in death by both her paternal grandparents (Carol & Wilbur McGeorge from Michigan), her maternal grandfather (Ronald Mason from Indiana). As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jean is survived by Mom & Stepdad (Rhonda & Gary Crimm of Eldora), Brothers Jeremy Crimm of Alden (Desstinnie Wesselmann), Dakota McGeorge of Eldora (Dakota Kriegel), Dalton Crimm of Muscatine (Karrington Sheppard), Tyler Crimm of Eldora, and sister Samantha Swires of Buckeye (Brian Meyer). A niece Aspen and 2 nephews Kyler and Noah. As well as multiple aunts, uncles and cousins in California, Indiana, Mississippi, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Utah.

Jean will be remembered for her kindness; she had a sweet soul and genuinely cared for everyone involved in her life.
