Gregg Alan Moser

 

Gregg Alan Moser, 82 of Reinbeck, passed away May 22nd at his home, under the care of hospice.  He was born November 14, 1941, the first child of LeRoy and Rosalyn (Robertson) Moser.  He graduated with the class of 1960 from Reinbeck High School.  He attended Upper Iowa University for 1 ½ years, before returning to Reinbeck to join in the family business, the Reinbeck Courier/RGC Printing, where he continued to work until his retirement in 2000.

 

He met Mary Lou Johnson on a blind date and they were united in marriage on June 22, 1963.  They spent their retirement years traveling around the United States, visiting all the states except Alaska.  Gregg also enjoyed flower gardening, photography, HO model railroading, and collecting crocks. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, his brother-in-law, Albert Johnson, and many aunts and uncles.

 

He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou, his siblings Geoffrey (Christy) Moser of Ormond Beach, Florida, Gretchen (Robert) Adams of Thomson, Georgia, Julie (Alan) Bachman of Reinbeck, sister-in-law, Joyce Cummings of Laurel, MT, nieces and nephews Brian Moser, Ashley Megonigle, James Swift, Jason Swift, Brianne Davis, Erik Bachman, Bryan Stafford, Lisa Stafford, Kenneth Cummings, Angela Rhodes, Michael Johnson, Robert Podnar, and Carolyn Podnar.  He is also survived by a very special family, Linda Ehrhardt and her two children Jess and Josh, his special dog, Rosie, and many cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

 

On Saturday, June 15th, there will be a private graveside service, which will be followed by an 11:30 luncheon and gathering of friends and family in the dining room of the Reinbeck United Church of Christ.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice or the Reinbeck United Church of Christ in his name.
