Eugene H. Engelkes

Eugene Engelkes, 71, of Janesville, Iowa, formerly of Wellsburg, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg. Following the funeral service a lunch will be served at the church. Interment will take place at Hazel Green Cemetery in rural Ackley, Iowa. Further arrangements are pending with Abels Funeral and Cremation Services.
