Elizabeth was born on July 1, 1943 in Allison, Iowa, to her parents Robert & Catherine (Beenken) Uhlenhopp. She attended school in the Dumont school district, where she later received her GED. On September 17th, 1961, she married James Lloyd Rodamaker and they had 4 children together: James, David, Thresa & Shirley. She later married Dean Johnson of Eldora on April 17th of 1983.

Many people knew that Elizabeth enjoyed writing her poetry, going to church, singing with her brother Chris and playing guitar.

Unfortunately, Elizabeth suffered from mental illness which throughout her life caused her to not be the parent to her children that they wanted.  She was not able to serve her community or put others ahead of herself.

Elizabeth’s passing will be missed only for what she never did, be the parent her children wanted and deserved. Her children are relieved and can now move on with their lives knowing she is in a better place.

Surviving her are her children James Robert (Reann) Rodamaker of Fort Dodge, IA, Thresa Ann (Rick) Baugh and Shirley Marie (Tim) Awe, both of Iowa Falls, IA; 12 grandchildren  and 4 great-grandchildren; her brother Chris Uhlenhopp. She was preceded in death by her parents; son David Rodamaker; sisters Mary Yost and Johanna Uhlenhopp and brother Robert Uhlenhopp; her second husband Dean Johnson.
