Doris was born in Conrad, Iowa on February 11, 1925, to her parents Lewis and Mabel Lynch. She attended school in Beaman and proudly graduated with the class of 1944. Over the years Doris worked in several roles including switchboard operator, the Grundy Center Style Shop, the Grundy Café, and later retiring from the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. No matter the job, she was known for her dependability, kindness, and warm smile.
Doris enjoyed vacationing throughout the U.S. with Elmer, playing cards, cooking, and baking for those she loved. Her greatest joy in her life was her family. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she created a home filled with love and laughter.
