Donna Cory

Donna “Lovey” Marie Cory, age 62 of Eldora, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames with her loving husband by her side.

Funeral Services for Donna will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 19th at the Abels Funeral & Cremation Service-Creps Chapel in Eldora. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to the family. Donna was born on September 9, 1956 in Westminster, England, the daughter of Charles Porter and Coral Lillian (Vincent) Green. She graduated from high school in Escambia County, Florida. In 1990, Donna met the love of her life, Cliff. Although they were not united in marriage until June 16, 2011 in Castle Rock, Colorado, the couple spent over 28 years together.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as collecting Nutcrackers for her Christmas decorations. She was an avid animal lover and currently had five fur babies at home; Lucy Auggie, Louie, Cleo and Leo. Since moving to Eldora, Donna was employed with Hy-Vee where she greeted many customers over the years and became close friends with her coworkers.

Donna is survived by her husband Cliff of Eldora; one daughter, Amanda; one son, Dustin; four step-children, Jason, Lacee, Michelle and Cory; numerous grandchildren; one sister, Debbie (Freeman) Henderson of Morehead, NC; one brother, Stephen Green of Crestview, FL; one niece, Megan; two nephews, Josh and Seth; two sisters-in-law, Cindy (Terry) Clemons and Cathy Tasker; two brothers-in-law, Christopher (Deb) Cory and Craig Cory

She was preceded in death by her parents.
