Chris A. Billerbeck

Chris Allen Billerbeck, 60, of Reinbeck, gained his wings to heaven on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Parkview Manor. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Oakleaf Country Club in Reinbeck from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A private inurnment will take place at Reinbeck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Humane Society or Cedar Valley Hospice in Chris’s honor.

Chris was born July 31, 1963, to Donald and Ann Rae Billerbeck, in Grundy Center. He graduated from Reinbeck High School with the class of 1982, working in farming as well as for Pioneer Hybrid in Reinbeck until he retired. Chris enjoyed golfing and was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Iowa State Cyclones. He had a great love for animals and enjoyed tending to his sheep. Pepper, his dog, was very dear and near to Chris.

Chris is survived by his mother, Ann Rae Billerbeck; siblings, Mark (Janice) Billerbeck, Jeff (Susie) Billerbeck, Tim (Pam) Billerbeck, and Marci (Mike) Bengen; nieces and nephews Rachel (Adam) Wilkinson, Greta Billerbeck, Cole Billerbeck, Jennifer Billerbeck, Joshua Billerbeck, Andrew (Jess) Billerbeck, Brady Billerbeck, Emma (Alex Schmitz) Billerbeck, Joe Billerbeck, Eleanor Billerbeck, Brett (Jen) Bengen, and Lauren Bengen; great nieces and nephews Jonovan Wilkinson, Kamden Wilkinson, Brantley Wilkinson, Kourtlyn Wilkinson, Hendryx Billerbeck, Maiaka Billerbeck-Hamlin, Michael Boyd, Brooks Billerbeck, Beau Billerbeck, Clara Billerbeck-Schmitz, Brock Bengen, Avery Bengen, and Payton Bengen; as well as many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Billerbeck, on April 8, 2017.
