Carol Krull, 82, of Wellsburg, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Parker Place Retirement Community in Parkersburg, Iowa. A visitation will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church in Holland, Iowa. A funeral service will be held starting at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation. At the conclusion of the funeral service interment will take place at the Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg, Iowa. All are invited to gather back at the church following the burial for a time of fellowship where lunch will be served.
Carol was born on September 23, 1943, in Eldora, Iowa, to Manley and Helen (Powell) Bakker. She was named after her two uncles Karol Powell and Lee Bakker. She was raised on the family farm near Wellsburg, Iowa and attended elementary school at Timothy Christian School. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1961 and graduated from Gates Business College in 1963.
Following graduation, Carol became employed by Prudential Insurance Company, first in Waterloo and then in Minneapolis. Later she worked for Northrup King Company in Eldora. She also assisted with the family business, A.L. Krull Repair.
On June 27, 1981, Carol was united in marriage to the love of her life, Allen Lewis Krull, at the First Christian Reformed Church of rural Wellsburg. Following their marriage, they made their home in Wellsburg. They became the parents of two children, Danielle and Shane. In 2006, Allen and Carol celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary travelling to Washington D.C. and New York. Her husband, Allen, died on February 13, 2007.
Carol was a faithful member of Colfax Center Presbyterian Church of America where she served as an organist and was actively involved in Sunday School and Bible Study. In the past she served as a Sunday School teacher and as a Youth Group Leader.
Her passion was music. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was a piano accompanist and organist for over 30 years. Other enjoyments included traveling, reading, and her daily devotions, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Most importantly, she was a firm and faithful believer of her Savior whom she dedicated her life to by serving her church and her friends and family.
Left to cherish her memories, are her daughter Danielle and her husband Darwin Manning, her granddaughter, Audrie Helen, and her son Shane. Her brother Jack Bakker and his wife Emma and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant brother.
