Bettie Hinz

Bettie M. Hinz, 85, of Grundy Center, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Creekside Living in Grundy Center. Services and inurnment are private. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Bettie was born on August 18, 1936, the daughter of Wilbur and Virginia (Jennings) Connell. She is survived by her children Sheila (Bob) Stansbery, William “Bill” (Roxy) Smith, Jr., Donna (Dennis) Barnes, Mike Smith, and Brian Smith; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Pat Reeves; brother Bill Connell; and nieces and nephews. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Keith Hinz and William Smith, Sr.; sisters Linda and Phyllis; brother Gary; and daughter-in-law Renee Smith.
