Bernice Depping

Bernice Evelyn Depping was born on October 1, 1921 in Tama County to her parents Joseph and Edith (Reed) Benson. Bernice attended grade school in Gilman, attending to the 8th grade. Bernice was united in marriage to Oscar Depping on October 26, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Bernice worked alongside Oscar on the farm, tending to the crops and farm animals. Bernice enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and playing Skipo with her friends.

Bernice is survived by her sons: Jerry (Carol) Depping of Dike and Larry (Joleen) Depping of Reinbeck; grandchildren Michael (Fiancé Kristy Shuey) Depping, Michelle (Steve) Nielson, Dana (Ryan) Miller, and Jessie (Molly) Depping; 8 great grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar, and brother Willys Benson.
