Barbara Jean Morrow, 87, of Reinbeck, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Amity Presbyterian Church in rural Reinbeck. Burial will be held privately by the family at Reinbeck Cemetery prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
Barb was born on October 2, 1937, to Edwin and Evelyn (Richards) Kuhlmann. She was raised on the family farm northeast of Waterloo. Barb graduated from Dunkerton High School, after school she worked for a few years locally as a secretary until she met Robert Morrow. They were united in marriage on June 4, 1960. They welcomed their daughter Lora and their son Rick into their family.
Barb was a life-long, and very active member of Amity Presbyterian Church where she served the church in many positions. Barb was an avid reader, loved QVC and catching up with her friends on Facebook. Barb also had a green thumb and liked to garden and grow flowers. She was very supportive and helpful to her husband on the farm and was known as “Grandma Moo.” Her true joy in life came from spending time with her family and friends.
Barb is survived by her husband Robert Morrow; daughter Lora (Mike) Jans of Clear Lake Iowa; son Rick (Barbara) Morrow of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Lindsay Thompson, Dylan Jans, Jonathan Morrow, Janae Knight, and Brett May; great-grandchildren Alice Jans, Faye Jans, Harlan Jans, Cole Knight, Chloe Knight, Mark May, and Carter May; siblings Joyce Sadler, Daniel Kuhlmann, Michael Kuhlmann, Deb Fowler, Tim Kuhlmann, and Gloria Clough; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents.
