Arlene M. Kacher-Feiereisen

Arlene M. Kacher-Feiereisen was born on May 1, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, IA, daughter of Henry and Florene Feiereisen. Arlene graduated from McKinley High School, Cedar Rapids, IA, in 1952. Arlene married De Vere (Dave) J. Kacher on January 31, 1955. Arlene and Dave had three loving children, Rita, Mike, and Larry. De Vere preceded her in death on April 26, 2002. Arlene worked for Rockwell Collins retiring in 2015. However, she did not stay retired for long. She decided to go back to work as a caretaker for longtime friends/co-workers, Jim and Patty Stone, until Patty preceded her death in 2020. Arlene officially chose to retire in 2020. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family along with her love of quilting, stitching, crafting, and of course playing cards at Meskwaki.

Arlene passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. She leaves behind her loving and devoted grandchildren, David Lathrop, Richie Lathrop, Chastity Kacher-Lewis, Casey Kacher-Velasquez, Charlie Kacher, Mike Kacher Jr., Hanna Kacher, David Kacher, Derek Kacher, and Destiny Kacher, and over 10 great grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held later - Date still to be determined.
