Tracy R. Rose, 34, of Eldora



Tracy R. Rose, 34, of Eldora, went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Thursday, June 18, 2009. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Eldora with Pastor John Scheel officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday morning, one hour prior to the services. Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of the flowers a memorial fund has been established in Tracy ’s name.





Tracy was born December 7, 1974, in Perry , Iowa . Son of Richard and La Rita Rose, he was raised on a farm in the Steamboat Rock – Eldora area and began his education in the Eldora and Timothy Christian Schools . He graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1995 then received a bachelor’s degree from Iowa Valley College in Marshalltown in 2000. In 1990 he moved to Steamboat Rock and lived there until moving to Eldora in 2005. He had been employed as a line supervisor for Quality Products in Eldora for the past ten years.





Tracy accepted the Lord as his personal savior in June of 1981 and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Eldora in 1982. He was a faithful church attendee, attending many different churches throughout his life and served as a volunteer leading Bible studies at the Iowa State Training School for Boys in Eldora for seven years. He also served on a mission trip to Guatemala while in high school. Some of Tracy ’s greatest joy came from God’s creation and he loved spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing, and he also enjoyed playing chess.





Tracy is survived by his mother, La Rita; sister, Richelle Mitchell of Rolling Meadows, Illinois; brothers, Rick (Diane) Rose of Amarillo, Texas, Randy (Connie) Rose of League City, Texas, Rodney Rose of San Diego, California, Reynold (Kathy) Rose of Rayville, Missouri, and Troy (Becky) Rose of Marlboro, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.
