Timothy Hoekstra

Timothy Lee Hoekstra 60, of Eldora died at his home on Friday, February 27, 2009. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora with Pastor Ward Richards officiating. Per Tim's wishes cremations will take place following the service with burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to the family. Tim Hoekstra was born March 23, 1948, in Eldora, Iowa, the son of Wendell and Margaret Hoekstra. He attended school in Wellsburg graduating from Wellsburg High School in 1966. On August 16, 1969, Tim was united in marriage to Cindy Gavin in St, Marys, IA. Tim worked for the State Training school for 13 years as a Vocational Instructor. He later became self employed in the construction business till health reasons forced him to retire. Tim loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tim is survived by his wife; Cindy of Eldora; sons, Jon and wife Amy of Tulsa, OK, Jason and wife Joanna of Phoenixville, PA; 3 grandchildren; father, Wendell of Eldora, two brothers, Ben Hoekstra of Iowa Falls, IA and Allan Hoekstra of Coconut Beach, FL. Preceding him in death was his mother.
