Terry had the opportunity to golf in Scotland twice at the old course at St. Andrews. He enjoyed golfing in tournaments and passing on his love of golf to his children. Terry was a great fan of the Central Women's Golf Team, attending as many meets as he could. Fishing was also another hobby that Terry enjoyed. Terry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Juergens of Eldora, Iowa; two sons Matt Juergens and his wife Andrea of Adel, Iowa; Alex Juergens and his wife Angie of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter Jennifer Juergens of Pella, Iowa; four grandchildren Sadie and Ethan Juergens, and Max and Emily Juergens; and one brother Randy Juergens and his wife Sheryl of Waterloo, Iowa.
