Peter Badje

Peter Carl Badje, 90, of Dike, Iowa, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. Following cremation, Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday June 9, 2009, at the Dike United Methodist Church in Dike, Iowa, with Pastor Dan Ridnouer officiating. Memorials may be directed to Dike United Methodist Church in Peter's name.
Peter was born May 11, 1918 in Titonka, Iowa the son of Peter and Rose (Walter) Badje. He attended school in Dike graduating with the class of 1937. Peter served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a much decorated soldier receiving numerous medals for service. After his discharge Peter worked for Clay Equipment in Cedar Falls until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the Dike United Methodist Church for 76 years, having joined the church on April 16, 1933.
Peter was a member of the American Legion Post 471 of Dike, Iowa.
Peter is survived by his niece Cheryle Dall Clausman and husband Ed of Minneapolis, MN; Sheila Dall-Schuster, wife of the late Bruce Dall; nine great nieces and nephews, Ben (Amy) Dall of Dike; Dan (Ann) Dall of Solon; Juli (Wayne) Aeschliman of Hampton; David Dall of Cedar Falls; Bruce D. (Billie) Dall of Ackley; Sara (Derek) Hansen of Dike; Douglas (Kimber) Dall of Dike; Ryan (Mellanie Pusateri) Clausman of Minneapolis; Emily Clausman of Minneapolis and 17 great -great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Evelyn Badje Dall and nephew Bruce Dall.
