Margaret I. Menter, 86, of Grundy Center, died from natural causes on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center. Private family burial will be on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown.
Margaret was born April 30, 1920 in rural Grundy Center, daughter of Jacob and Minnie (Boike) Hoffa. She graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1938. She was married to Jess Menter in 1968 and they lived in Marshalltown where Margaret worked for Marshall Manufacturing for several years. Margaret moved back to Grundy Center in 1997.
She is survived by a brother, Daniel Hoffa of Le Mars, Iowa and his wife Jane; sister-in-law, Mae Hoffa of Waterloo; and by seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess and brother, Merle Hoffa.
