Margaret Matilda Aswegan, 91, of Stout, Iowa, died on Thursday December 25, 2008.
Margaret was born April 6, 1917 in Grundy County, Iowa the daughter of John and Margaret (Blackford) Ash. On December 30, 1935 she was united in marriage to Jerry Aswegan in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Margaret loved to crochet making Raggity Ann dolls. She also enjoyed her flowers and working outside.
Survivors include her son: James and his wife Patsy Aswegan of Richardson, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Patrick Aswegan and Jennifer Aswegan; 1 great granddaughter: Abbi Aswegan; and 1 sister: Mary Swenson of Forest City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jerry and a son: Jerry Jr. 11 sisters: Josephine Cmelik, Grace Ash, Pearl Aswegan, Ethel Stumberg, Susie French, Hazel Pepperling, Phyllis Ash, Ellen Aswegan, Bernice Branstead, Charlotte Ash, June Myhre; and 5 brothers: Clyde, Sam, Johnny, Erwin and Melvin Ash.
