Lee Ernest Schrage, 78, of Aplington, formerly of Parkersburg, Iowa, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. .
Lee was born September 8, 1930 in Cedar Falls, Iowa the son of Ernest and Etta (Johnson) Schrage. He grew up in Parkersburg, Iowa and graduated from Parkersburg High School. Lee married LaVona Green in 1958 at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Lee served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a very hard worker and owned and operated Schrage Tree Service since 1969. He loved to hunt and fish with his friends and family. But most of all Lee enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lee is survived by his three sons; Charlie, Dennis and Dale
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
