LaVonne Georgia Parsons, 78, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Grundy Center, Iowa.
LaVonne was born October 11, 1928 in Buckingham, Iowa to George and Elsie (Kroener) Carolus. She was raised and attended school in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1946. On April 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to John Lewis Parsons in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. LaVonne worked as a school cook for the Cedar Falls Schools for many years retiring in 1987. The couple lived at 2126 Lone Tree Road in Cedar Falls for 54 years prior to entering the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
She is survived by her four sons, Jack E. of Marshalltown, Iowa; Rick N. and wife Diane of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Chuck G. and wife Cathy of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mark J. and wife Terry of Cedar Falls, Iowa; daughter Kim Ellen Moye and husband Cliff of Reinbeck, Iowa; eleven grand children and four great-grand children; and a sister Marion and husband Bud Kyle of Milford, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Marvel
