Kenneth Pruisner

February 24, 1927 — September 17, 2005

Kenneth Wayne Pruisner, 78, of Dike, died from natural causes on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Colfax Center Presbyterian Church, Holland Iowa with Pastors Larry Hoop and Larry Doughn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 8:30 PM on Monday at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Memorials may be directed to the family.



Kenneth was born near Stout, Iowa on February 24, 1927, son of Henry P. and Grace M. (Freese) Pruisner. He graduated from the Dike High School in 1945. On February 3, 1949 he was united in marriage to Berdene Kruger at the Colfax Center Parsonage near Holland, Iowa. Kenneth farmed in the Holland and Dike area until retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church.



Surviving are his 6 daughters and their husbands: Nancy and Gary Heronimus of Hudson, Iowa, Shiela and Jim Luiken of Grundy Center, Iowa, Peggy and Curt Stahl of Holland, Iowa, Joan and Carroll Troe of Aplington, Iowa, Jill and Randy Konken of Dike, Iowa, and Darcy and Kevin Gage of Holland, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, a brother: Donald and his wife Leona Pruisner of Dike, Iowa; a brother and sister in law: Orlen and Dorthea Kruger of Fern, Iowa, and 4 sisters in law: Arelene Pruisner of Aplington, Iowa, Annette Flater of Holland, Iowa, Anona Arends of Reinbeck, Iowa and Marlys Klinehart of Cedar Falls, Iowa;



He was preceded in death by his wife Berdene, his parents, and 2 granddaughters: Amanda Stahl and Jamie Heronimus, a brother: Gordon Pruisner; a sister: LaVonne Bell; and an infant brother and sister.
