Jeanne A. Groenwald, 84 of Tucson, Arizona formerly of Cedar Rapids and Eldora, Iowa, died Monday May 12, 2006 after a short illness.
Jeanne was born August 27, 1921 in Eldora, Iowa to William and Grace Stewart and graduated from Eldora High School. She married Kenneth Groenwald on July 22, 1945 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Kenneth preceded her in death on May 19, 1998. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane and her husband Jerry Mason of Tucson, Arizona, two sons, Mark Groenwald of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Dan and his wife Brenda Groenwald of Boulder, Colorado; five grandchildren, Matt Poyneer, Drew Mason, Sarah Groenwald, Zach Groenwald, and Kierystn Groenwald and three great grandchildren, Ethan Poyneer, Alana Poyneer and Tyler Chaffin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Bess Horton and Frances Mossman, two brothers, Earl Stewart and Frank Stewart, and a great grandson, Cole Mason.
