Jason John Craig, of Dike, passed away on Friday, October 21st at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Engelkes-Abels Dike Chapel, 680 Main St., Dike, IA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 1:00 PM at the Kent Church, 3386 V18 Rd., Brooklyn, Iowa 52211, with the burial to immediately follow at the church cemetery. A luncheon and Celebration of Life will continue after the funeral service at the Holiday Lake Community Center, 6 Lakeshore Dr. #A, Brooklyn, IA 52211. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jason was born on March 21, 1991 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of John & Denise (Sherwood) Craig. He grew up in Dike, where he attended school and graduated with the class of 2009. He furthered his education at Hawkeye Community College, just shy of earning a degree in Sustainable Construction. He worked mostly as a handyman, from concrete work to cabinetry. He was efficient in all areas of construction.

He enjoyed snowboarding, golf, video games, wakeboarding and spending time at the family home in Holiday Lake, IA. Jason was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, biking and hiking. He was a Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. What Jason enjoyed the most in life was spending time with his family and friends, especially his niece and nephews.

The family wants to encourage people to sign up for organ donation, as Jason generously gave back in death, as he did in life. His many gifts will help several recipients in need. They also want to bring awareness to mental health and mental wellness. "When I becomes We, mental illness becomes mental wellness."

Jason is survived by the love of his life, girlfriend Tiffany Buss of Tripoli, IA; father John Craig (Barbara Raciborski) of Meadows of Dan, VA and mother Denise Craig (John Abels) of Stout, IA; sisters Deidra (Matt) Pipho of Bettendorf, IA, Melissa Craig (Chris O'Connell) of Waterloo, IA and Valerie Craig (Matt Kramer) of Wellington, CO; paternal grandparents Dale & Arla Beth Folkerts of Grundy Center, IA; nieces and nephews Ellody, Maxwell & Jaxen Pipho, Ethan & Jayla O'Connell, Tayla Mead and Angelina Westberg; step-brother Stephen Thomas & step-sister Olivia Thomas; best friend and companion, his dog Brutus; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Edward & Arvilla Sherwood and paternal grandparents Jacqueline Folkerts and LeRoy Craig; cousin Sean Kendrick.
