Harold E. Smith, 66, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Monday, January 5, 2009, at the Allen memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Engelkes ? Abels Funeral and Cremation Service ? Dike Chapel Dike, Iowa. Burial will be follow in the Garden of Memories in Waterloo.
Harold was born September 13, 1942 in Manchester, Tennessee, the son of Len and Lindy Smith. Harold was raised in the Manchester area. In 1983 he was united in marriage to Katherine Scott in Waterloo, Iowa. Katherine has passed away. He was united in marriage to Lisa Brunson on October 30, 1991. They later divorced. Harold worked for John Deere for 20 years and also as a truck driver for 12 years. Harold retired in 1989. He has lived in the Cedar Falls area for over 30 years.
He sis survived by 2 sons: Shane Smith of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Cody Smith of Waterloo, Iowa; a daughter: Vicky Smith of Indiana; a grandson: Payton Smith of Waterloo, Iowa; a brother: Dan Smith and his wife JoAnn of Manchester, Tennessee, and a sister: Dorothy Bay of Calumet City, Illinois
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Kathy; a daughter: Brenda in infancy and a brother: Paul Smith.
