Eddie L. Sizemore, 45, of Ackley, formerly of Eldora, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 12
th
, 2010 10:30 am at the Community Church of Union in Union, IA with Pastor Lloyd McDonald officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, January 11
th
from 5 to 7:30 pm at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Interment will be private.
Eddie was born on July 9, 1964 in East Moline, Illinois, the son of Roy and Ada (Mooney) Sizemore. Eddie was raised in Eldora until the family moved to Texas for four years while he was in junior high. The family moved back to Eldora where he attended Eldora-New Providence High School. In 1991, he welcomed daughter Jelissa. In 1994, he moved to his acreage outside of Ackley and has remained there ever since. Eddie worked several jobs throughout his life and was most recently working for himself, owning his own trucking company, which he loved to do.
Eddie loved racing figure 8’s, raising horses, riding dirt bikes, motorcycles and snow mobiles, camping and he especially loved to spend time with his daughter and son.
He is survived by his daughter Jelissa Sizemore of Ackley and son Aaron Krause of Eldora; mother Ada Sizemore of Eldora; maternal grandmother Evelyn Briden; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Eddie is preceded in death by his father Roy; paternal grandparents Albert & Velma Sizemore, maternal grandfather James Mooney and step-grandfather Richard Briden; special uncle Harold Mabe.
