Doreen Bru

Doreen Bru, 50, of Gladbrook, Iowa, died Sunday December 9 2007, at her home under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Doreen was born January 10, 1957, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Mamie (Winkowitsch) Rottink. Doreen attended school in Allison and graduated with the class of 1975 from Allison High School. After high school, Doreen attended Hawkeye Tech for clerical classes. On July 9, 1977, Doreen married Kenneth Bru in Parkersburg, Iowa. Doreen enjoyed helping Kenneth with the farm work, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Gladbrook; daughter Amber (Brandon) Krusey of Traer; sons, Ryan (Laura) Bru, Jason Bru all of Gladbrook; Grandchildren, Alicia and Brianna Krusey, Lillian and Jay Bru, her parents Paul and Mamie Rottink of Allison, siblings, Paulette(Steven) Lugg of Ventura, Iowa; Garry(Terri) Rottink of Grundy Center Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by; infant brother Larry; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
