Donna Bell Jaspers, 69, of Steamboat Rock died from natural causes on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at her home under the care of the Cedar Valley Hospice.

Donna Bell Jaspers was born October 12, 1938, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley Ray and Lottie Martha (Plum) Campbell. Donna was raised in the Owasa area attending elementary school at Jackson Township County School and later attending Owasa High School graduating in 1956. On March 30, 1958 she was united in marriage to Ivan Wendell Jaspers at the Owasa United Methodist Church. Ivan and Donna lived south of Eldora from 1958 until 1965. Then they moved to their present residence north of Steamboat Rock. Ivan and Donna farmed together for 49 A½ years. They also owned Riverside Hydraulics. Donna was a very active member of the Steamboat Rock Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, on the Missionary Guild and a member of the Small Groups.

She is survived by her husband Ivan; a son: Randy and his wife Kristy Jaspers of Jamestown, North Dakota; three daughters: Connie and her husband Don Rose of Owasa, Iowa, Becky Sneed of Liscomb, Iowa and Deb and her husband Toby Gordon of Sperry, Iowa; 12 grandchildren: Mark, Michael and his wife Adrienne, Ryan, Lisa and Karen Jaspers, Sarah and her husband Karl Sneath, Jonathan, Timothy, Lydia and Esther Rose, Zachary and Emma Gordon; three great grandchildren Ellie Jaspers and Josiha and Annalynn Sneath; and one sister: Iva Ann (Gast) and her husband Henry Rose of Eldora.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ray and Lottie Campbell; her son: David Jaspers, a brother: Carlton Campbell; and a son in law: Stanley Sneed.
