Donald Francis Kopsa, 78 of Grundy Center, died on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.
Donald was born January 8, 1928 in Grundy Center, Iowa the son of Frank and Alvina (Durbin) Kopsa. Don was raised and educated in Grundy Center. On January 30, 1953 he was united in marriage to Diane Barge at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grundy Center. Don worked farming near Grundy Center but Don also worked at Fisher - Govener in Marshalltown. Don was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife: Diane; two sons: Steven Kopsa of Grundy Center, and Ronald Kopsa of Waterloo; 3 daughters: Karen Augustson of Waterloo, Annette Kruger and her fiance? David Steinfeldt of Dike, and Suzanne Caldwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Varina Folkerts of Reinbeck, Helen Koch of Conrad, Marian Albright of Grundy Center, and Alrene Stumberg of Grundy Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law: Linda Kopsa; a son-in-law: Tony Augustson; a brother: Samuel Kopsa; and 2 brothers-in-law: Adolph Folkerts and LeRoy Koch.
