Charlie Duncan

Charlie Duncan was born on August 16, 1925 in Salida, CO, son of Solon and Lela (Burton) Duncan. Charlie graduated from high school in Salida. After graduating, Charlie served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Charlie and Phyllis Rold were united in marriage on July 10, 1948 in Salida. Shortly after they married, Charlie transferred to Reinbeck, IA to operate a hatchery and feed store for Wilson & Co. Charlie later purchased the Hatchery and Feed Store from Wilson & Co. He also worked for John Deere beginning in the 1960?s. Charlie retired from John Deere in 1987. Phyllis died March 9, 2004.
Charlie is survived by his son, Josh Duncan and his wife Janelle of Salida, CO; many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Phyllis; 2 brothers, Ralph and Jim Duncan; one sister, Lynn Duncan.
