Beverly Hall

June 3, 1935 — February 19, 2008

Beverly A. Hall, 72, of Eldora, died from natural causes on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at her home in Iowa City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, February 25 at the Eldora United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Boatman officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora. Visitation is from 6 pm ? 8 pm on Sunday at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to the Eldora United Methodist Church. Beverly was born June 3, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa, daughter of Donald and Mabel (Malmberg) Giehm. She graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1953 then received a teaching degree from Morningside College in 1957. On August 16, 1958 Beverly was united in marriage to Jack A. Hall in Sioux City. She taught at Lincoln Elementary School in Iowa City for several years and moved to Eldora in 1959. She was a member of the Eldora United Methodist Church serving with their Women's groups and Bell Choir, PEO, and Bridge Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and always looked forward to their annual trip to Adventureland. She enjoyed travel, attending plays and musicals, gardening, her dog, Justice, and in her younger years tennis.



Surviving are her sons, David (Kristin) Hall of Seattle, Washington and Greg (Jeannette) Hall of Iowa City; sister, Joyce (Bob) Brown of Connecticut; brothers, William (Alice) Giehm of Arizona and Paul (Debby) Giehm of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsay and Joe Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in August of 1994 and by her parents.
