Anna N. Doolaard, 86, of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, of natural causes. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Friday, November 12, 2004, at First Christian Reformed Church, rural Wellsburg, Iowa, with Pastor Tom Vos officiating. Burial will follow at First Christian Reformed Church Cemetery, rural Wellsburg. Visitation will be Thursday, November 11, 2004, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg. A memorial fund has been established.

Anna was born May 6, 1918, in rural Steamboat Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Cornelius and Grietje (Eertmoed) Doolaard. She worked for the Steamboat Rock Bank and later for a bank in Eldora. She then worked as a Secretary for the Steamboat Rock High School from which she retired. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, and the Queen Esther Circle.

Anna was preceded in death by her sister: Nellie Heitland.

She is survived by her sister: Jennie Doolaard of Steamboat Rock, Iowa; a brother: Cornelius and his wife Maybelle Doolaard of Eldora, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
