Amos Albright

Amos E. Albright, 86, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died from natural causes on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Holy Family Parish, St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 21275 U Ave., rural Reinbeck, Iowa with Father Dennis Quint officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Amos was born June 14, 1922 in Grundy Center, son of Clarence and Lillie (Purvis) Albright. He graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1941 and on January 10, 1948 was united in marriage to Marian Kopsa at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grundy Center. Amos worked as a brick and block layer and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; children, Sandra (Carroll) Miller of Grundy Center, Cathy Harness of Port Orchard, Washington, Cindy (Tom) Saddoris of Grundy Center, Mark (Lori) Albright of Grundy Center, and Scott Albright of Grundy Center; sister, Isabel Cummings of Cedar Falls; and by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Russell and Robert; and a sister, Lois Swift.
